4th EUSSER Cadaver Course – Links between anatomy-surgery-rehabilitation – Paris 2011
EUSSER welcomed 25 members in Paris on the 14th Oct 2011 for the 4th cadaver course, hosted by Olivier Gagey.
The program was very exciting, with plenary sessions, workshops and live dissection. Olivier demonstrated his impressive skills in dissection and knowledge in shoulder anatomy. The afternoon session included workshops in smaller groups which led to interesting interactive discussions among the physiotherapists and surgeons linking the anatomy to surgery and rehabilitation. People from France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Norway, Russia, and UK shared their experience and their questions. Marco Conti, Anju Jaggi, Giacomo Delle Rose, and Ann Cools provided background information on anatomy, clinical examination and rehab guidelines. In general the participants were very satisfied, with an overall rating of 3.55/4 for the course. All participants will receive a DVD with material from the dissection course and the discussions.
After the course, the EUSSER General Assembly Meeting was held, the president’s and treasurer reports were presented and amendments to the By Laws were approved. Details of which can be found on the EUSSER website (link). Members were active in voting and participating at the meeting.
The next EUSSER-course will be a Master-class symposium, held in London, Oct 6th 2012, focusing on the ‘The challenge of the Rotator cuff’. Please watch the EUSSER-website for further information.
